It is possible, pay attention to the provisions of the program; are there any requirements for GPA, semester, number of credits that can still be taken at the university along with the implementation of the internship program, and also the credit load of compulsory courses that have not been fulfilled. Note that by participating in this internship activity, the number of credits taken on campus will be drastically reduced, it is recommended to only take 1 course (equivalent to 3 credits), maybe it can be increased to 2-3 courses (maximum 9 credits, considering the GPA of the last semester). With such a reduction in credits, consider its relation to the overall study period, for example; if there are compulsory courses that cannot be taken this semester, and the course is only opened once a year. For the provisions and calculations of credit transfer, read the information here (link)

No. For MBKM activities of 20 credits, it is not permitted to take any more courses in that semester at UI.

Please contact the Study Program via email stats@sci.ui.ac.id

  1. Valid at UI, with provisions in the Statistics Study Program as explained below (link)
  2. If the internship is completed in that semester, and the submission and assessment process by the credit transfer team is completed before the semester ends, the credits obtained can be included in that semester. If not, it will be processed for the next semester; with provisions as in the following guide (link)

Terms depend on those stated by the MOOCs

MOOCs are considered the same as taking other open courses, so that the study program cannot set any rules; the rules refer back to the conditions set by the MOOC organizers.

MOOCs can come from anywhere, but if the subjects are like those in the Statistic Study Program curriculum, then they are not allowed to be taken in MOOCs.

If the course taken is outside the topic of the subjects in the Statistic Study Program curriculum, then the calculation of credits for credit transfer follows the criteria of the number of activity hours, where 1 credit = 170 minutes of activity for 14-16 weeks, or 1 credit = 35 - 45 hours; with the note that overlapping topics (and activity time for those topics) are not included in the recognition.

It is possible, by considering the answers to points 1 to 3 above.

Credit transfers are processed according to the student's submission time, with the note that in that semester the maximum number of credits obtained remains limited to 24 credits.

Follow the provisions of the company/institution you are applying to. Standard documents are usually a CV, transcript, and internship cover letter. The internship cover letter form can be downloaded here (Login | FMIPA UI Academic Correspondence Information System – SIPA) and the next procedure follows the explanation here (link).

If it is not considered to interfere with lecture activities, it is okay. Pay close attention to the internship load and the lecture load taken, both must be carried out well. The internship guidance and assessment mechanism can be consulted with the internship supervisor appointed by the Study Program. Complete information about the internship can be read here (link). To access the file on the link, please contact the Head of the Stat Study Program.

Yes, by not including the company/port name; the data is also made anonymous. In writing the report, it can be written as, for example: "one of the companies in Jakarta", or "Company ABC in Jakarta".

It is indeed a standard procedure if you want to collect data from a company/institution to make a proposal. Briefly, about 2-4 pages are usually enough, the contents are as studied in the Research Methods lecture: background, problems and objectives of the research, hypothesis (if not an exploratory study), benefits of the research. It is important to write down what variables/measurements are needed, so that the company can prepare the data. Also include a short and simple discussion of the method that (planned) will be used in processing the data.

Guidelines for taking Thesis courses and other related procedures can be studied in the following document (click here).

It is better to do it 1 semester before the official thesis implementation. For example, if you want to take your thesis in semester 7, it is better to apply to the desired lecturer as your thesis supervisor in semester 6. Pay attention to the ethics of communicating with lecturers.

The selection of a supervisor can be based on the suitability of the topic and similarity of interests (which can be seen during the lectures of the lecturer concerned), as well as the availability of a guidance quota from the lecturer.

Yes. To ensure the quality of guidance, the workload of the lecturer as the main supervisor in the preparation of the thesis/final assignment is a maximum of 10 (ten) students. (UI Chancellor Regulation No. 016 of 2020 concerning the Implementation of Undergraduate Programs at the University of Indonesia, Article 23 paragraph (8)).

Yes,with the provision that the main supervisor must remain a permanent UI lecturer. (UI Chancellor Regulation No. 016 of 2022 concerning the Implementation of Undergraduate Programs at the University of Indonesia, Article 23 paragraph (4)).

Non-permanent lecturers, or experts, or professionals from industry (outside UI in general) can become assistant supervisors (UI Chancellor Regulation No. 016 of 2020 concerning the Implementation of Undergraduate Programs at the University of Indonesia, Article 23 paragraph (5)).

Based on the agreement between the supervisor and the student. Students can submit their own topics if any, but still with the approval of the supervisor. If the student does not/does not have a topic, the supervisor can offer the lecturer's research topic; or direct the student in finding a suitable topic.

Ideally, it is 1 semester. To avoid being recorded as working on a thesis for more than 1 semester, students usually start working on their thesis in the previous semester, so that when the official semester of taking the thesis, the research can be completed properly.

Thesis has the status of a special course and can be taken after completing a minimum of 114 (one hundred and fourteen) credits. (UI Chancellor Regulation No. 016 of 2020 concerning the Implementation of Undergraduate Programs at the University of Indonesia, Article 23 paragraph (1)).

From the number of credits, pay attention to the provisions of the IPS in the previous semester; if 3.00 <= IPS <= 3.49, then you can take a maximum of 21 credits (UI Chancellor Regulation No. 016 of 2020 concerning the Implementation of Undergraduate Programs at the University of Indonesia, Article 31 paragraph (4)).

From the implementation that has existed so far, thesis work usually requires high dedication, and is quite heavy if done simultaneously with several other courses considering the fairly heavy lecture assignments. Therefore, it is not recommended to work on a thesis simultaneously with 3 or more other courses. For this matter, it can be discussed further with the academic supervisor and thesis supervisor.

Based on the University of Indonesia Rector’s Regulation Number 1 of 2024 on the Implementation of Undergraduate Programs (link), Article 19, Paragraphs (2), (3), and (4) are as follows:

    2. Beasiswa Non-KIP-K & Masa Pencairan Tertunda: Jika pencairan beasiswa baru terjadi setelah masa registrasi administrasi, mahasiswa dapat mengajukan skema cicilan dengan menghubungi bagian Keuangan FMIPA:

Catatan Batas Maksimum SKS:
